Åive Quenches the Thirst

Åive mineral water will quench the thirst of the Dundret Extreme Running participants this year.

Sport Event Gällivare Lapland has signed an agreement with Norrland Coldspring Water AB, who are now the official water supplier to the summer’s big sports event in Gällivare.

“Åive is probably the purest mineral water in the world, and a proud sponsor of Dundret Extreme Running, an arrangement we’re very happy about. The stunning mountain terrain north of the Arctic Circle, the focus on physical health, the drive to do your best without compromising, these are all things we have in common. We wish all the participants good luck, and we look forward to quenching their thirst with water straight from the source at Hirvasåive,” says Patrik Teste, chairman of Norrland Coldspring AB.

Åive mineral water is taken from a natural spring at the foot of Mt. Hirvasåive. The conditions of the spring were created by nature itself during the last ice age, over 10,000 years ago. The spring is self-sustaining, and there’s been no well drilling or other harmful processes done to extract it.  Due to unique hydrogeological conditions, the water goes through a 26 year purification cycle before coming to the surface. The salt content is only 1.5mg per liter, significantly less than other mineral waters (www.aive.se).
