The entry fee is 20 € per athlete per race. Entry fees should be paid by 2 January to SportEvent Gällivare Lapland account to confirm participation. Message: Team Name + Scand. Bring receipt when collecting BIBS

Late entries to Scandinavian Cup can be presented until Team Captains Meeting. Late entries and changes preferably by mail to gellivareskidallians@hotmail.com. Late entry fee is 30 €/day and athlete. You pay the fee for late entries by credit card at the Race Office before collecting bibs.

Courses

Detailed information about where and how to warm up and when the tracks open and close is given at the Team Captain’s meeting. The tracks are closed for grooming 20:00-06:00. Stadium; Friday 3/1 and Sunday 5/1 the stadium is open from 08:00 until 10 minutes before the first start. Saturday 4/1 the stadium is closed until the start. Please respect the opening hours of the tracks/ stadium.

Training

Monday December 29th – Thursday January 2 th:

  •  8.30 -12.00 Training, Hellnerstadion.
  •  15.00 – 19.00 Training, Hellnerstadion.

Official training

Thursday, January 2nd 13:00-14:00 Classic course: Official training for both distance races, classic technique 10 K (Friday) and classic
technique 20 K (Sunday). Friday, January 3rd, 16:15-17:00 Sprint course free technique.

Bibs

Competitors pick up their bibs at the race office, organized by team/country. Entry fees must be paid before collecting bibs. The bib is returned no later than after the race, the athletes take off the bib them self and leaves it in the designated place in the finish area. Unreturned bibs are charged to the association with 500 SEK / bib.

For the sprint event, those advancing to the quarterfinals must collect new bibs at the entrance to the race office. Ensure that the leg bib is attached to your left leg.

Timekeeping

Swedish athletes use their own chip. If athletes lack a chip/have a broken chip, this can be rented at the race office for 150 SEK/day.
Foreign athletes borrow chip from OC. The chip is handed out together with the bib number for the first race you participate in and is used for all races during the weekend. If the chip is lost, the athlete will be charged 1000SEK.

Livetiming

Live timing is via http://live.skidor.com and the FIS app.

Cancellations

Cancellations are submitted to the race office or from 17:00 the day before the competition in SSF TA and until the team leaders meeting. Number bibs for deletions are handed in to the race office. Participants who have not returned their number bib will be charged SEK 500.

Startarea

To get to the start, the athletes must follow the instructions. Only athletes are allowed to enter the starting area.

Clothes for warm up

Athletes leave their clothing for warming up at the start area. After the race, athletes pick up their clothing themselves.

Measuring ski pole

Equipment for measuring ski poles will be available at the stadium for your own measurement. Random checks will take place on Friday and Sunday.

Check of technique

Check of technique will take place during the competitions.

Sportsdrink

The organiser does not arrange drink stations during the competition.

Temperature limits

For Scandinavian Cup the Scandinavian Conference has agreed to use minus 17 C as limit for the jury to cancel a race.

Interval starts and sprints – Start order based on the current FIS points list.

Quotas and starting times

The Scandinavian Cup is open for all skiers with an active FIS code for Cross Country.

The Scandinavian Conference can decide to use the “General quota rules for Scandinavian cup events” if there is a reason to limit the starting field, this will be communicated in the invitation to the or those events that the rules apply.

Juniors can participate if they are entered by their NSA. Each NSA is allowed to enter 10+10 juniors per race in the Scandinavian Cup.

Protest

Any protests must be submitted in writing no later than 15 minutes after the unofficial results list has been posted. Submitting a protest is associated with a fee, 1000SEK.

Price ceremony

Flower ceremony for the first three in each class immediately after the last finish. The award ceremony for each competition takes place at
Hellnerstadion at the finish area/race office about 30 minutes after the last finish in each class/ day.
Prices according to the FIS Scandinavian Cup rules:
No 1 = 600 €, – No 2 = 400 €, – No 3 = 200 €

Calculation of Scandinavian Cup points

Only athletes from Scandinavian region (NOR-SWE-LTU-LAT-EST-ISL-FIN-DEN-UK-IRL) are eligible to score points in the Scandinavian Cup and to get the free WC Quota. If athletes outside of the region is taking part in a competition and are among top 50 the
athlete will not get any points, i.e:
Rank Athlete
1. Athlete from SUI – no points
2. Athlete form SWE – points for rank 2
3. Athlete from GER – no points
4. Athlete from Nor – points for rank 4
etc.

The FIS calendar automatically calculates the general classification for the Scandinavian Cup, which includes all races and final overall standings in mini-tour.

If at end of all the events, a number of competitors are placed equally in the general classification, then they shall be placed according to the number of their first places, then their second  places, third places, etc. If they cannot be classified by this system, they will each receive
the medals corresponding to their placing.

Changing rooms/ Showers

Changing rooms with showers is located in the service building at Hellnerstadion.

Food at Hellnerstadion

Refreshments and food in the form of hot dogs, soup, vego, fish and chicken burgers are available at the ski stadium on all competition days. On Thursday, there will be a limited offer of refreshments and food in the café.

Wax Cabins/ Vallabodar

The wax cabins are located adjacent to Hellnerstadion. Additionally, there are designated pitches with electrical hookups for waxing trailers and buses. Parking

Parking is in the designated area, follow signs and officials’ instructions. Parking primarily in the car park at the stadium. Please note that we have a limited number of parking spaces. The organiser encourages carpooling. It is also possible to travel with city buses according to the regular timetable, link is available in the section on ”Logistical information” in this memo.

Transport

Live broadcast

The competitions will be broadcast by Expressen Live TV.

Security

Athletes, officials and spectators participate and visit the competitions at their own risk. The organizer disclaims all liability for damages that
may occur during or in connection with the competitions.

Cancellation of race/ competition

In the event of a cancellation, the organiser reserves the right to retain 100% of the entry fee in accordance with SSF regulations.

Regulations of radio equipment/Radio Frequencies:

– The import, export and the operation of radio equipment in Sweden is regulated by national law. Permits for the use of radio transmission equipment must be requested according to national specifications. Failure to do so may result in legal actions.

Internet at the Arena:

WiFi with high speed internet is available at the entire arena.
