Vi måste tyvärr meddela att efter en samlad bedömning av flera väderleksprognoser där det är för kallt, så har vi beslutat att ställa in Skandinavisk cup och Smart Energy cup i Gällivare.
Vår främsta prioritet är åkarnas hälsa och välmående, och vi vill undvika att utsätta någon för onödiga risker i det kalla vädret.
Vi är också medvetna om de extra resekostnader som kan uppstå för deltagarna, och vi vill inte belasta er med dessa i onödan.

Cancellation Notice
Dear Participants,
We regret to inform you that after a thorough assessment of several weather forecasts indicating extreme cold, we have decided to cancel the Scandinavian Cup and Smart Energy Cup in Gällivare.
Our top priority is the health and well-being of the participants, and we want to avoid exposing anyone to unnecessary risks in the cold weather.
We are also aware of the additional travel costs that may arise for the participants, and we do not want to burden you with these unnecessarily.
We hope for your understanding.

Vi har granskat den senaste väderprognosen och noterar att den förutspår kyligt väder. Trots detta förväntas temperaturen hålla sig på rätt sida av köldgränsen -17. Vilket innebär att vi planerar att genomföra tävlingarna enligt ursprunglig plan.
En uppdatering från morgondagens jurymöte kommer att publiceras här cirka kl. 17.30.
Notes from the Jury Meeting 2024-12-30
We have inspected latest weather forecast and note that it predicts cold weather. Despite this, the temperature is expected to remain on the right side of the cold limit -17. which means we plan to proceed with the competitions as originally planned.

388 Cold Weather Precautions
As organizers, we recommend that the athletes wear clothing for cold weather. For example, you can use devices to warm shoes and gloves.

Väderprognosen för tävlingarna i Gällivare pekar på kyligt väder men möjligt att arrangera tävlingar.
Juryn har ett första möte idag klockan 17.00 och kommer att följa upp prognoserna kontinuerligt.Information kommer att presenteras här.Temperaturmätningarna genomförs inne på stadionområdet samt på platser längs banan (lägsta punkt – högsta punkt) där extrema värden kan förvänta
Här kan vi använda regeln som gäller långlopp (388.2.1) för att ge råd/föreskrifter om klädsel.
388 Cold Weather Precautions
388.1 Background
388.1.1 There are three main factors to be considered by the Jury regarding cold weather safety: the temperature; the duration of the exposure; and, the clothing and other protection against cold weather. These factors together with any other relevant information such as the “wind chill factor” must be taken into consideration when a decision is made regarding cold weather.
388.2 Between minus 15 ° and minus 25 °C
388.2.1 If the temperature level is forecast to be between minus 15 °C and minus 25 °C at any point on the course, recommendations regarding cold weather protection should be made available to the competitors. Under such conditions it is the responsibility of the competitors to seek the information and to follow the recommendations given by the organiser.
